Last blog post for 2023!
I took photos for all kinds of events this year — bicycle races, a local film premiere, an overseas conference, a birthday party, overseas travels with my wife and some personal projects if I manage to find the right opportunity.
For most photo shoots, there is the physical element of moving around to get a variety of shots/looks but there is also a creative and ideological element for me- how to maintain a consistent look (and not be lazy) and stay creative, especially after long hours of photographing. No two photo shoots or gigs are ever the same. I will always ask myself, “how can I try to get a shot that is different from other photographers”?

I recall I got scolded by one of the shop’s staff for asking to take photos for my work for the marketing agency as she was “not informed” about me…
