I recently saw some flash sales of Nintendo Switch gaming consoles on Shopee (an online shopping platform), so I became curious about the Switch range of consoles and turns out there are four variants of the Nintendo Switch.

I began to research on the Nintendo Switch consoles online, and I thought why not ask a good friend (Sam) who is a tech expert?

The bonus is that he happens to own three variants of the gaming console, so he will be very familiar with how they work and perform.

For context, the first and original Nintendo Switch model was released on 3 August 2017.

In August 2019, Nintendo released an updated model of the switch. Battery life was improved over the original at 9 hours over 6.5. It had a brighter screen too. This updated model is what gaming retailers dub as the Nintendo Switch V2.

The Nintendo Switch Lite (handheld-only) was released on September 20, 2019 and Nintendo Switch OLED was released on October 2021.

I would to thank Sam for taking time to answer my questions, enjoy the Q & A below!
