Three Grasshopper (草蜢) songs that were covers

A few months ago I wrote a post on how a number of Chinese pop songs from the 1990s were actually cover versions of songs that were originally sung in Japanese:

I recently went to Thailand for a two-week short-term missions exposure trip, and I realised (and confirmed) two of the Grasshopper songs I grew up listening to were covers of Thai songs!

Grasshopper or 草蜢 is a Cantopop male group from Hong Kong who started in 1985, consisting of Edmond Chi-Wai So, Calvin Yat-Chi Choy and Remus Yat-Kit Choy. (I just found out Calvin and Remus are brothers) The interesting tidbit about the trio is that they started out as legendary Hong Kong singer and actress Anita Mui’s (1963–2003) back-up dancers/singers.
